PUPPY LOVE

One of my co-workers has Pug puppies for sale. She has been telling me about them this week, and tonight she surprised me and brought this little girl in. She is 8 weeks old. She is pure black. I am totally in love with her. No, I am not getting her. I would love to take her home, but my home won't allow puppies. So I would have to move or convince someone to let me and my pug to live with them. I don't think that is going to happen, so instead I will just have to remember the feel of this active pup in my arms. Heaven on earth.

Shoe birthday card

This is the card I made for my friend at work, who loves her high heel shoes. I was inspired by the new Papercrafts magazine. They have a boot card on page 49 of the April/May issue. I was thinking how could I do a high heel card for her after seeing it? So I went home and started while watching LOST last night. (Which was difficult because most of LOST was in Korean with English subtitles last night) Anyhow, I began with SU black cardstock. And this is how it ended up. The inner card has Bazzill cardstock and rubons from 7 gypsies "nice shoes" and Deja views "happy day".

The flower is Prima from the blog candy I won in February from Sarah. And the big brad is from Paper Studio.
The stamp is from Making Memories "it's a girl" and I hand wrote the "thing" with a white Sharpie.
The most difficult thing for me was the hand cutting of this card. For those of you with "scissor dyslexia" you will know what I mean. lol

favourite photos

The American in me couldn't resist this. :)

Memorial wood carving next to the World Trade Centre site.

The original Statue of Liberty torch taken down during the remodeling period due to water damage and now on display in the national park building where Lady Liberty stands.

This is the globe that once was atop the World Trade Centre. It now sits in a park with an eternal flame in remembrance of 9/11.

My dad: tee-hee.

A new take on the old flag. Good if you're a Yankees fan. Just different than the average flag we see all the time.

9/11 Memorial at Yankee Stadium.

Yankee Stadium seats.

Oh I love the pinstripes!! The Yankees uniform is one of my favourites right now. I need this phone, but without the logo.

West Point Academy Cadets unveiling the flag on opening day at Yankee Stadium during the National Anthem. Stunning.

The sign on the bathroom at The Baseball Hall of Fame. tee-hee!

Stand up and cheer for the ladies of baseball.

Cupcake anyone?

Oh the piano forte!! Love you!!

Downtown Philadelphia.

Me in NYC- Times Square. Yeah that bus is blocking the view. Oh well. It is better than no picture.

Oh George, you do look so nice in real life.

The "holy grail" of baseball cards, Honus Wagner. I saw it twice on this trip!! I was so excited to see it once, but twice is just too much!!

My little black dress

These are my pictures of me in my little black dress. I wore this outfit on the night we went to see Les Miserables. I also wore it on Easter Sunday. And then, since I am obsessed with this outfit I wore it to a work related retirement party. That night my friend took these pictures of me. So here they are. It was a fun night and I really do love this outfit. What can I wear it to next?

Day 6 of my trip (April 6/07)

This pic is for my friend. Yep, it is the Empire State Building. We headed into the city and went straight there. It was a really long wait to get into the building, and even more of a wait to get tickets and then a wait to get on the elevator going north. In the end it was well worth the wait. It was cold, and windy with a few snowflakes on top.

After our visit to the top, we got into a taxi, whoo hoo and headed to Central Park. We had a long walk enjoying the day in the park. The sun peaked out for a bit of the day which was nice. But spring hadn't really arrived in the park. The lawn was blocked off for the seed grass to not be trampled. There were a few trees in bloom, but over all they were mostly still brown.

Then I convinced my dad to go to the Met. It was fantastic. A little bit of ancient Egypt, a little George Washington, a little baseball, a little Monet. Fantastic end to my fantastic week in NYC!! Loved it. Must go back for more!!
