Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #12

I so loved the piece of art in Esme and Carlisle's home in the movie Twilight and had to recreate it for my card with one of my favourite quotes. Of course most of us know what the inside of the card reads, "Awhile". The original rules for this challenge can be found here at Stamp Happens.

Quote of the day

“Meaning is not something that you stumble across, like an answer to a riddle or a prize in a treasure hunt. Meaning is something you build into your life. You build it out of your own past, out of your affections and loyalties, out of the experience of humankind as it is passed on to you, out of your own talent and understanding, out of the things you believe in, out of the things and people you love, out of the values for which you are willing to sacrifice something. The ingredients are there. You are the only one who can put them together into that unique pattern that will be your life. Let it be a life that has dignity and meaning for you.” -Anonymous

Twilight

Have you gone to see it yet? Are you going to go see it? Despite the line up and the feeling of being old in the crowd, I went with my two friends last night. And let me tell you I loved the books so I had high expectations. And all I can say is if I get off in time tonight I am going again!

Good Riddance

Good Riddance. Two more days to go at my old job. Then I am moving onward. I am starting fresh. I am beginning again. I am looking for change. I am looking forward to it. I know there will be a learning curve. I know that it won't be easy. I am ready to do it though. I am looking for a chance at something new. I am hopeful that this will be the start of a new life.

two cards I recieved

The inside says "May all your wishes come true. Good luck".

The inside says, "good things come to those who wait".

The interesting thing is they both came in the same week, last week. They both came in a huge week in my life. I interviewed for a new job. I am contemplating my future. I am having dreams about a new life. I am waiting patiently to see who or what is to come in the future. I am waiting. I am being patient. It is difficult to be patient. It is difficult to wait. I am in anticipation. I am waiting expectantly. I am hoping for good things. I am still choosing Joy. This is the year.

Word of the year for Jill

Last year I read Ali Edwards posts on choosing a word of the year and I even chose one, mindful. I didn't really do anything with it though. It was a sort of difficult word to follow through on. The year went by without me consciously living out being mindful.

This year I choose JOY. I choose joy because I have the Wordsworth stamp. Just kidding. I choose joy because at the end of the day I can look through all of the not so nice stuff and still find at least one thing that brings me joy. The choosing of joy has been inspired by the Mars Hill Seattle pastor Mark Driscoll who was doing a series on The Rebel's Guide to Joy from the book of Philippians. I have downloaded some of the pod casts of the sermons and have been watching them.

2008- I choose Joy!

And there you have it....

I told you so!

You Don't Have a Boyfriend Because You are Too Shy

When a guy gets to know you, he finds a great catch
Problem is... you're too shy for most guys to get to know.
From meeting someone to dating, you usually have your guard up.
And while you're just holding back, it makes you seem like you've got something to hide.
The Recipe For Jill
3 parts Fun 2 parts Wit 1 part Inspiration
Splash of Playfulness
Finish off with a squeeze of lime juice
